Studied at Sidcup Art School under Frank Auerbach and later at Central  St. Martin's College of Art,
Goldsmith College and Camberwell Art School
He was artist in residence at Battersea Power Station  from 1987-1990 and commissioned to paint a picture  entitled “Regeneration of the city” for Margaret Thatcher.
